Client asked me to match the stile and look of their chosen light fixture, for a “blackened” steel railing with a Brazilian Cherry top.  I answered “Sure” then immediately thought “How in the hell am I gonna do that…”   Well, here’s the answer I came up with.

Client was super happy. Yey!

As if that step-over wasn’t challenging enough..
Pre glue and pre screw. Looks promising
Post glue and post screw and post finish. But pre paint on the walls. I am very happy with how this turned out. Shocked actually
When finished it looked a lot like the light fixture I was asked to match. Pure luck
I love challenging finish work like this
